AICE media studies

This is the first time me and my group have filmed anything. It was a long process and we all worked very hard on this commercial. We are very proud of our commercial and we hope you like it. 

 Production blog: editing and getting the last clip.  The editing is almost completed. We decided last minute to change songs . We changed from here there and everywhere to good day sunshine. We though it fit the theme much better. Julianna was in charge of the editing and asked us for critique.Juliana worked on their sisters I pad using Cap-cut to edit.  They worked quickly and efficiently. The only thing we were missing was to record the last scene . None of us had a record player so we had to ask a friend of ours if we could borrow theirs. They agreed to us borrowing it. we had to decide  between scheduling a day where we would either go to their house and record it or ask them to record it. We decided to ask them if they could record it because we were running out of time and they live far from us. We asked our teammate Jean to deliver the record to them but he ended up loosing it in his first period. Juliana and George  were extremely mad at him for loosing the vinyl (rightfully s

 Production blog: vinyl  After a few hours we finished all the recording for the record store. After we finished recording for the records store, George, and Julianna hopped into face time to try to figure out what we had to do next.The only thing we had left was to record the scene at home and to edit. Julianna bought a beetles vinyl with this really cool cover. We had to decided on a song to use for our commercial. George wanted us to use yellow submarine. I personally did not like the song, it really annoyed me. The song is so bland and I felt like it did not go with the mood. We were original just going to stick to yellow submarine but the clip of the song we were gonna use was too long. So after that we had to go back to listening to the vinyl to figure out what song we were going to use. all the songs on the vinyl were pretty good and none of them were necessarily bad. except for yellow submarine (in my opinion). Filming blog: record store.  On Wednesday, October 6th my group and I started filming. Our original plan was to start filming before the store opened at 11 pm. We had previously called the store owner to ask if we could get permission to record the commercial. We were given permission with the condition we brought a paper saying it was for a school project. The store owner specified that it would be preferable we went when the store was closed or when there was no costumers. The store was closed from Monday to Tuesday and was opened 12- 8pm on Wednesday. So, we made our plan to meet and record before the store opened. We did not stick to the plan. There  was complications that made it hard for some of my team mates to get to the store at the time we set. Regardless, everything still worked out and we were at the store ready to record. I was in charge of the store boards so I made sure to bring it so we could get started. All of our recording went smoothly. We were initially going to us

Story boards drawn by me (Jocelyn ).  First scene- this scene will show Juliana entering the store. The shot will show a shot at a lower angle of them walking in. Only their legs will be visible.  Second scene- once Julianna enters the store there will be a pan of of the entire store. This shot will show the entire store and all of its products.  Third shot- this is the over the shoulder shot of joce. Joce will have already been ppreviously in the store before Juliana. They will be looking for records and picking them out.  Fourth shot- there is a section of the star with cabinets filled with cds. Joce transition from the records to the cds.  Juliana will then walk there and both joce and Juliana will be looking through the cds. This shot will be taking at a higher angle so the cds are more visible.  Fifth shot- Juliana will have no Luck looking through the cds. They will then start to walk around the store and a record picks up their attention. They will pick up the record with an ent
