Production blog

Production blog: editing and getting the last clip.

The editing is almost completed. We decided last minute to change songs . We changed from here there and everywhere to good day sunshine. We though it fit the theme much better. Julianna was in charge of the editing and asked us for critique.Juliana worked on their sisters I pad using Cap-cut to edit.  They worked quickly and efficiently. The only thing we were missing was to record the last scene . None of us had a record player so we had to ask a friend of ours if we could borrow theirs. They agreed to us borrowing it. we had to decide  between scheduling a day where we would either go to their house and record it or ask them to record it. We decided to ask them if they could record it because we were running out of time and they live far from us. We asked our teammate Jean to deliver the record to them but he ended up loosing it in his first period. Juliana and George  were extremely mad at him for loosing the vinyl (rightfully so the vinyl was like 30 dollars). Jean losing  the record delayed us back a few ways but eventually the record was delivered. After that it took as a few days to get the recording because our friend was not at their house where they had their record player. We specified how we needed the record scene record (it’s a short scene ) and they helped us with it. Their recording was almost perfect but the quality was bad. So we had to ask them if they could retake it which they agreed to. After we got all the scenes Julianna was able to wrap up the editing. The edited final video looks good and we even added a filter over it to set more of a bright mood to the commercial. We were really trying to describe a happy mood during the commercial. I think Julianna did a great job editing. They really tied all of our work together perfectly. Their editing was definitely what made our commercial good.
