Group blog

 The group I am working with is George, Juliana and Jean. We are all sophomores. Initially, George had reached out to me asking me if I could work with him and Juliana, to which I agreed. It was only until later that I found out Jean had asked to worked with them before hand. I had no problem with this since I was already acquaintances with him.I’ve known all of them since 9th grade and have had classes with them all except for with Juliana. I met George last year during a global class when the teacher was absent. I worked with George for a global project so I am familiar with his work ethics. He is reliable and work committed, but not very punctual. Besides  that,  this is my first time working with the others in a group project. It was by George that I became accountancies with Juliana. I never really talked much with Juliana last year but I think they’re  pretty cool. I’ve never seen how they work in groups nor work places so ,I can’t really say much about them nor their work ethics. I had both study hall and math with Jean last year and I used to talk to him a lot. He’s responsible and productive with  his work but doesn’t seem very reliable teamwork wise. Regardless, i will try to have a positive approach. Jean and I both have Aice media during our 2nd period while George and Juliana have it for 5th, we are communicating through a group chat George made. I’m not sure how much of an obstacle the difference in periods will make but I am hoping it does not disturb our work flow.   I am excited to work on this project and to watch  how it unfolds. I am hoping my team mates  are just as excited as I am. My team mates seem determined and I’m sure we will be able to complete this project without any issues.

 For the opening credits to our film, the font that we would like to use will be ITC Serif Gothic Heavy that passes by in the background, such as in a moving scene, or in a still scene where it will most likely appear and disappear as the scene changes. The credits will have a black color with perhaps a red undertone to give that ominous and a slight feeling of unease. The trigger for the credits will most likely be a cutaway or during a tracking shot. We will most likely title our film “Syrian” or “Blue.” The title will be shown in big bold letters to make it stand out. After a bit of discussion, we were able to find a slim amount of time that worked. George worked on Saturday, majority of the day. Julianna worked on Sunday at 4. So we decided to film some partial parts. Filming before Julianna worked was a little tricky. Since Julianna lived a bit far from me (40 mins) it took a while before I was able to get to her house. But In the end I was able to make it, so there’s nothing to complain about. Because this is our first time filming we were in a bit of a hurry and ended up doing some sloppy work. Sloppy work which we will have to redo later. Our main objective for this filming session was to get the scene where the victim is looking around their house. Juliannas house was perfect for this. Her house had many rooms, and she didn’t have many family members home so we weren’t disturbing anyone. The scene we were recording happens during the night. Movie conventions research: Halloween

 Halloween (1978) 1. In the opening scene (and throughout the whole movie) Michael watched his victims before killing them, similar to what we plan on doing. He also wears a mask and our guy will wear one too. 2. While he watches his victims it’s usually quiet so we get a feel of the area or setting, then when he’s about to kill or killing music starts playing making it more suspense. 3. I feel like most kills could’ve been avoided and that people in the movie sometimes just tend to make simple mistakes that get them killed.
